Appears to be localized and spreading from groin suggestive of tinea infection which also give rise to severe itching complaints . May perform a KOH test and Wood’s lamp . Skin scraping should be taken from active borders. Also look for other features suggestive of psoriasis. However , psoriasis usually doesn’t just localize in one region.

Guttate psoriasis. .. This kind is also called "drop-like" psoriasis. It causes small red dots to form on the trunk, back, arms, and legs. It's most likely to be triggered by a strep infection. Many children who get this type of psoriasis also develop plaque psoriasis... Corticosteroids.. Coal tar....Anthralin....Calcipotriene (a form of vitamin D). Allegra syrup.. Moisturizer.. Children and young people are sometimes given methotrexate to treat psoriasis and eczema. Methotrexate is also used to treat other conditions (not just skin conditions) and has been used as a treatment in children's dermatology for many years with good results.
